OMG Shahid Kapoor smoked 20 cigarettes a day while playing Kabir Singh
As Shahid Kapoor gears up for his next film Kabir Singh, we hear stories from behind the camera about the shoot. The makers have already released the teaser and the actor looks in a boisterous and bold avatar with loads of audience in it. Shahid Kapoor never leaves any stone unturned to give the best of the performance for the allotted role in any film. So, when he plays a drug addict, he is the Tommy Singh from Udta Punjab.
Sometimes we see him doing the Gandi Baat and trying Dhatingh song with his own professionalism and wit. He makes sure that he performs every character understanding the best. Similar goes the case with the film Kabir Singh wherein he is seen recreating the huge success of the Telugu movie called Arjun Reddy. However, for Shahid it was not easy for him to play the alcoholic, cocaine-snorting surgeon called Kabir Singh.
It was not a cake walk for him to play this character as he had to try smoking which he away in his real life. As per reports, he had to light up 20 cigarettes and smoke them all in a day to play the character of the surgeon with bad habits. Also, he had to get rid of the smoke and the filth that comes in his mouth making it rot. After all every evening he has to face his wife and kids and he cannot walk inside smoking those cigarettes with loads of smoke inside his lungs.
