Meinu Ek Ladki Chaahiye Movie Review

Mainu Ek Ladki Chahiye. movie review

Meinu Ek Ladki Chaahiye is basically a satirical Bollywood, starring Raghuvir Yadav, Reecha Sinha, Zakir Hussain and Reecha Sinha. It is directed by Abhishek Bindal, while is produced by Manoj Bindal and Santosh Bindal under the banner of BVM Flms Pvt. Ltd. Meinu Ek Ladki Chaahiye deals with one of the most sensitive topics called rape, while the backdrop of this movie is dealing with the false rape case and the fight of the main lead for the justice. It is basically a satire, which has humour and other elements, hence different from the other three movies releasing the same day on this Friday.

Let’s check the plot of the movie. As said above, this movie is a satire with a humour wherein you find Raghubir Yadav in the character of a lawyer who gets his first case with lots of difficulty. This case is the false rape case against the main lead. Govind is the man who happens to be a jovial person and the lawyer. He is seen doing a lot to win the case for the false rape case against the hero of this movie. Despite Govind is the son of a popular lawyer of the town, he never gets a case and finally this case comes into his fold. He is seen solving the case with loads of humour and comical way. However, this very case has made his life different and a big mess as he is harassed by the police and is put behind the bar experience a bad relationship with his family (wife and daughter). Despite all odd, he is committed to bring out the truth.

Well, the script is really powerful and is being presented so well in the movie. Thanks to the ace actor Raghuvir Yadav, who is known to portray the character the best unlike his previous movies. The director is smart enough to choose and extracts some of the best performance from this man making really a good humorous and satirical film.  In fact, his performance has simply overshadowed others in the movie, yet he seems to be carrying out others with honour and great reverence especially the character of the Lawyer Kharbanda played by Zakir Hussain. You can catch loads of humour in it, be it the sequences found in court or other places and even the songs found in the movie. Even the music composed for the film seems melodious with a couple of really good songs being introduced in it. The song Teri Toh Jhand by Mika Singh is already making waves over the chartbuster.

Last Word Meinu Ek Ladki Chaahiye

A well timed movie, when the country is pitted with so many rape cases, which include both the false and genuine cases. It is a beautiful satire, which is worth watching considering the ace performance of Raghubir Yadav. His incredible and hilarious dialogues leaves you no space to stay silent for laugh and at times you simply break up with a huge laughter so mind it. The songs too are engaging and melodious as these have turned out to be big hits in the music world. Overall, the movie has done justice both the sensitive issue of rape cases and the way it is presented before the audience. Considering to many positive points, a rating of 3.5 is justified.
