Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ Gets the Release Date, to hit the screens in August 2021
The sports drama film Maidaan is back in the news and this time for the release date of the movie as the makers have now disclosed the same. We have been hearing about this film earlier and the makers have even shared a few posters for the film. As per the latest buzz, the makers have embarked upon the release date of the film. The sports drama movie is going to hit the screens on the eve of Independence Day in 2021.
Due to the lockdown, the makers are yet to complete the shooting. Since the situation is still grim in Bombay with the total lockdown in the city has been extended to 31st of July, we see the makers still in dilemma in releasing the movie. The unlock 1 when it came out last week had created more issues, which made the government come out with stringent rules barring the shooting of the films on the sets.
Hence the makers took more time to announce the release date of the film. The makers have enough time to complete the movie and release on the said date. Talking about the production, the film is produced by Zee Studios in association with others like Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawala, Amit R Sharma and Rauna Joy Sengupta. Amit Sharma is directing the movie and it is a biopic based on the Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the manager and coach of the Indian football team. He worked as a coach from 1950 to 1963, while his role will be played by Ajay Devgan.
