OMG: Javed Akhtar & Samir Shocked to see their name stolen for PM Modi film
The lyricists of B Town – Javed Akhtar and Samir are in a state of shock to see their names in PM Modi biopic when the makers of the film have given credit to the two. Their names appeared in the poster of the film giving them credit about the lyrics and writings they have contributed for the biopic. Both denied contributing anything about the film forget about writing songs for the said movie. The film releasing on 5th April 2019 is back in news for a wrong reason.
In fact, the day the film was announced it has been making constant headlines in the media. The film has been produced by Suresh Oberoi and others while it has an ensemble star cast. The film came as a surprise for many as it is releasing just before the Lok Sabha elections, while the makers had decided earlier that they have time to release the film and perhaps it would come only after the general elections. But the abrupt time change of the film talks a lot about.
The makers have released the trailer, which again remained the talk of the town as many called the actor struggling to play the role of PM Modi. The film is all about the struggle of the man and the way he rose to power. Now, talking about the two lyricsts, Javed Akhtar was seen tweeting about the same in Twitter when he said that he was shocked to know that his name appeared in the poster when he has not written any song for the film. Both of them have tried to call the producer and director and none of them have bothered to pick their calls or call them back.
