Bombay Velvet – Box Office Predictions Time To Enjoy the most awaited Solo Release
With just one day to spare to witness the most awaited movies of 2015 – Bombay Velvet, the buzz for the film seems to be increasing. Though the film was expected to hit in November 2014, however, with some post production complications, the film is getting its release on 15th May 2015 adding huge expectations over box office. The film had one of the biggest budgets in the industry with a whopping figure of 300 crores. However, it was completed in just 90 crores, thanks to the smart team of filmmakers who were successful in accomplishing this target.
In terms of buzz, vibes and hype for the film, BV was seen moving on a roller-coaster ride. Though the buzz for the film was witnessed right from the day, it was announced, however, the vibe for the film was seen getting oscillated in between two extremes. Though the first promo failed to get an overwhelming response, but the second one seemed a big winner getting a massive number of views for the same. One man who remains at the centre stage is Ranbir Kapoor. In fact, even his presence in movies like Roy, his presence could secure 10 crores on its opening.
Of course with movies like Bombay Velvet, his presence will add a big difference. Also, let’s not forget Anushka Sharma, who has been constantly doing well in the recent past, right from the Rajkumar Hirani film PK to her own venture NH10, she has carved her niche as an accomplished actress. Even Karan Johar making his debut in acting as a key role in it has its own hype, which will help the movie in its collections. Considering the fact that movie is a solo release, it will certainly be going to make a big difference in favor of the film.
The experts and trade pundits are expecting a huge response with occupancy also reaching to 90 to 100 percent in cities and metro towns. The movie is likely to get less hampered by the Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer film Piku considering the passage of one week of its release. Hence it would be fair to say that the Bombay Velvet – Box Office Predictions could go beyond 15 to 20 crores on day one, which is likely to grow in its first weekend.
