Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif Gets A NEW Release Date
Just when we heard the makers of the films like Rohit Afza, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Agrezi Medium announcing their release date, we saw a few clashing with the Rohit Shetty starrer cop drama Sooryavanshi. This was the basic reason why the makers have pre-poned the release date giving a new one. Just yesterday Karan announced the release date of his film and Angrezi Medium saying that the latter would release on 13th March just a week before, we now hear the Jhanvi Kapoor film will release on 20th March.
On the other side, the horror-comedy Rohi Afza with Rajkummar Rao would be releasing on 5th June. Hence with all the dates being set for these films, the makers of Akshay Kumar film was finally decided to be released on 25th March. Sources close to the makers claimed that they are releasing the film on Wednesday to leverage the holiday on the eve of Gudi Padwa in the state of Maharashtra.
The makers feel that this will help the film to get a good start in places like Mumbai and then it will help in gaining bigger at the other parts of the country as well. They feel that the content of the film is very massy in nature and the good start with the early release would help the film for garnering a good word of mouth buzz in the media thus helping the film to pick up at the box office. It would be interesting to see the maiden collaboration of Akki and Rohit Shetty with the cop drama.
