Sony TV has taken a firm stand against the circulation of manipulated videos of its popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). In a recent statement released on Instagram, the channel condemned the dissemination of such fabricated content and asserted its active collaboration with the cyber-crime cell to address the issue.

Sony TV highlighted the misleading nature of these videos, which deceptively overlay fabricated voiceovers of the host and contestants, presenting a distorted version of the original content. The channel urged viewers to exercise caution and refrain from sharing unverified content, emphasizing the importance of responsible online behavior.

This is not the first time that Sony TV has had to address the issue of fabricated KBC videos. In 2023, the channel took similar action after a video surfaced online in which a fake voiceover of Amitabh Bachchan asked a defamatory question about Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Sony TV’s proactive approach in tackling this issue demonstrates its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its content and maintaining a positive viewing experience for its audience.
