Dum Laga Ke Haisha Trailer Review

Dum-Laga-Ke-Haisha-Trailer Review

Recently, the Yash Raj Films’ Dum Laga Ke Haisha was embarked over the social media platform a couple of days before. The movie comes out in a typical zest having less appeal in terms of glamour and jazzy stuff in it. The trailer of Dum Laga Ke Haisha reminds us similar kind of glamour free movie from Yash Raj in the form of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi made for a couple belonging to rural areas of Punjab. Hence as you check the trailer, it seems to start off with an average looking style having a middle class common man called Prem, which is being played by Ayushmanan Khurrana who seems to be very much scared about English language and love to hate the songs of Kumar Sanu.  The filmmakers simply failed to create a right chord between a common man with the local accent of Haridwar.

So, the last time when you saw the geek called Suriji in Yash Raj another film called Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, this time the challenge comes in the form of a mismatch marriage as you find the wife to be over sized. The actress opposite to Ayushmann is doing her debut called Bhumi Pednekar. Unlike the other actresses in B Town, she has all the potential to become the diva of Bollywood playing the character of 22 years old girl with weight of 85 KGs. She is haunted by the rejections she faces and simply wants to find a groom who can love her the most, and finds a job in teaching profession. In this film, you find all together a different kind of wedding in the form of Samuh Vivaah wherein she enters the life of a simple young man from a village.

As they start their journey of their married life, they seemed poles apart, though the obese girl tries to lure him but fails to get the response from her groom. Finally, it’s the competition, which bring them together unlike one fight of SRK brings him closer to Anushka Sharma in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Unlike the way you had Vinaj Pathak in SRK’s life who adds fun and spice in the love story of SRK and Anushka, you have Sanjay Mishra in  Dum Laga Ke Haisha who manages the show being an over bearing father.

Though the trailer has a couple of moments of fun, however, looking at the larger picture, the film can be called as the stuff with a repeat mode. What is more annoying is the way the songs are flashed out the plus size lady with flowery sarees and bright color dresses. Thus it is nothing but an attempt to showcase an obese average looking woman in the most glamorous and stylish fashion. The fact is Dum Laga Ke Haisha has not much new to cater but comes out with some quirky stuff, yet you can find the movie interesting to catch with.
