Even if you check the minuscule the film has simply shown a good growth on its second Tuesday which happens to be a rare occasion these days.
After having a good first week collection with the amount of 10.96 crores, the film of the four ladies seems to be ruling the box office despite being among all the odds with a good collection for sure. The film has made much news for its 11 awards being offered at the international film festivals. Hence the movie Lipstick Under My Burkha simply made it to the theatres with a bang as far as the collection of the film is concerned. The Central Board for Film Certification in India though has rejected the film for being too lady-oriented.
But with loads of hue and cry the film is back on the track released with few cuts with the obvious rating in the Indian theatres. Despite getting a limited amount of screens in the country, the fil managed to get a very good start in the first week keeping away the film Munna Michael and the other release called Dunkirk. Thanks to its excellent word of mouth buzz which surrounded the movie with great hype and buzz.
Also with the release of Mubarakan and Indu Sarkar, the film continued to do well over the box office going non stop with the collection of 3.76 crores in its 2nd weekend. The same trend kept on for the film as it went on to collect a decent amount in the second week days as well. So, if you look at the total collection of Lipstick under the Burkha, it has tolled 10.96 in the first week and 3.76 in the second collection. The total collection of this film has netted to around 17.5 crores, which is really a decent figure.
