Meghna Gulzar Spills the Beans about Deepika’s role in Chhapaak
As Deepika Padukone ventures with her debut production project called Chhapaak, there are many interesting things to know about the film and her role. She has always impressed with her power-packed performances and once again with this film she is all set to impress her fans in a big way. While the film is wrapped up, it has gone roller coaster in terms of emotions for the leading lady and Meghna Gulzar the director of the film.
As the journey comes to an end for shooting and the film reaches to the post-production phase, the lady director has much to share about it. As we know the character Malti played by Deepika is inspired by the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, it has loads of emotion attached to it that have kept both the filmmaker and the leading lady on the toe. Talking about it Meghna said that Deepika had a tough time playing the character on the silver screen.
She used to sit for around 2-3 hours to work on her prosthetics on a daily basis and thus has to portray all her actions and emotions using her eyes and through her facial expressions. She said that Deepika informed Meghna that she has emotionally got drained while doing this character. Currently, Deepika has flown to London to join her hubby for his next film 83. She is playing the wife of Kapil Dev, which is played by Ranveer in the said film. Seems that she would have a good time with her hubby doing this film.
