Maleficent Mistress of Evil Review

This Friday, we also have a Hollywood film released in the form of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil starring Angelina Jolie. The film happens to be the sequel of the franchise released in 2014 and has gained good reviews by most of the critics found here and overseas. Having released a day before in India, the film is already doing great business at the box office. The film has gained $7.6 million at the U.S. box office. While in total the collections in other places in the world have already crossed 25.5 USD million.
With this, the collection on the first weekend is likely to touch 70 million USD for the overseas collection including the home nation US. Now, talking about the way how the film has managed to do the collection in India, the box office collection for the film seemed good. Despite the day had the other two films released the same day, Hollywood seemed magnificent in many ways in terms of collection. As per reports, the occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows were around 30 to 40 per cent.
However, the evening and the night shows went to 70 to 80 per cent to its occupancy giving a good collection on the first day. As per these figures and reports, the 1st day box office collection for the film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil tolled to around 8.5 Crores. Thanks to the decent fan following of Angelina Jolie in India, the collection was expected to go high on the first day.
