Baazigar, directed by Abbas-Mustan, tells the story of Madan Chopra, a racing enthusiast who befriends Vicky Malhotra after his final win. Vicky falls in love with Madan’s daughter Priya, bringing joy to Madan and plans for their marriage. Tragedy strikes when Seema, Madan’s other daughter, allegedly dies by suicide. Eager to avoid scandal, Madan wants to close the case, but Inspector Karan, Seema’s college friend, suspects foul play. Rest you know.

Meanwhile, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, directed by Sameer Malkan, features Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, and Raageshwari, alongside Kader Khan, Mukesh Khanna, and Johny Lever. Released in 1994, the film revolves around Karan, whose brother is murdered by gangster Goli. The only witness, Mona, is also killed. Seeking revenge, Karan teams up with actor Deepak, who is preparing for a cop role. They find a dancer resembling Mona and devise a plan to trap Goli.

The Retro Film Festival will be held in 25 Cinépolis theaters across India. Each day of the festival, two beloved movies from the 90s will grace the big screen, with screenings at 1 pm and 7 pm.
