The lockdown seems to be wrecking all havoc in the life filmmakers. This is the reason we hear stories why the sets of various films are brought down. Now, as per reports, the film Maidaan was on progress when the lockdown was announced. This kept the 16 acres of film sets of Maidaan stranded. This was costing huge to the makers of the film, which made them decide to dismantle the same as the lockdown is still going on and soon the season of Monsoon would appear.
As per reports, the makers have created a huge outdoor sets in the 16 acre land close to Mumbai seeking the help of production infrastructure. Just when the film hit the floor, the makers started facing the heat of lockdown due to the virus outbreak. This led the makers to keep the sets erected on the said location outside Mumbai. But when things did not turn normal so soon, the producer Boney Kapoor started facing tough time from the high maintenance cost.
Boney Kapoor while talking about the same said it is a massive loss to the makers and they had no other option but to get rid of the highly expensive sets from the floor. The makers now intend to start the shoot in September. The film is directed by Badhaai Ho director, while the film is based on late footballer and coach – Syed Abdul Rahim who has remained the known face in Indian Football.
