Anushka Takes a Break from Venturing Netflix Web Series “Mai” to be With Virat

Anushka

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are the two celebrity sweethearts who have always been in love and never miss a chance to be with each other. Right from the World Cup 2019 tour to any other tour place, either Anushka or Virat seem to find time, to be together. Once again, Anushka Sharma has flown to Miami to spend time with her cricketer husband Virat Kohli just before the India-West Indies series.

Talking about Virat, Anushka previously in an interview during Filmfare said, “He’s one of the calmest persons I’ve met. Off the field, he’s so relaxed. You can ask my friends, my team. He’s like that on field only because he’s so passionate. He’s not aggressive in real life. That’s only his demeanor on the field. He’s the most shaant person I know. I look at him and I’m like, ‘Wow! You’re so chill.’”

She further added, “For him and me, when we’re together, the world ceases to exist. We find solace in one another because of the similarities we share as people. Even when we were dating each other, it was the same thing. I feel extremely happy because he’s my family.”

Anushka seems to have taken a break from her new venture of working on a web series in producer role titled, Mai. Apart from Netflix Mai, she was last seen with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Aanand L Rai’s Zero and is currently busy with her production ventures on Mai.

Talking about her venture on web series, the talented actor said, “This is my second collaboration with Netflix after Bulbul and we are again looking to disrupt the kind of content audiences are consuming. We at Clean Slate Films have been dedicated to making clutter-breaking, powerful stories since our first production and we are looking forward to push the content envelope. The creative freedom to be able to translate these stories to screens that reach a global audience is exciting for us, which is why Netflix is such an important partner.”

The story of Mai revolves around a 47-year-old wife-and-mother, Sheel, who finds herself accidentally sucked into a rabbit hole filled with violence and power that followed her to a personal tragedy. The series has been penned by Atul Mongia in collaboration with Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas, and Sudip Sharma as the creative producer.
