Plot

As said, the movie is comedy genre film. In the story of the movie, you find it revolving around a Punjabi, which is played by Rishi Kapoor along with a Gujarati and played by Paresh Rawal whose kids are getting settled down with a marriage with each other. On the other side, we get to see Payal Ghosh making her debut for being the daughter of Paresh Rawal and who plays the love interest of Vir Das who happens to be Rishi Kapoor’s son. So, what you see a jumble of humor in it played by a lead characters in it, what really goes inside the movie is a worth try in your nearest theater.

Review

Its been two decades when we see Rishi Kapoor & Paresh Rawal sharing the screen together, which makes the makers of the film promote with this USP. The film though lags behind in having the right content as one can find the same old story of a boy falling in love with a girl of opposite camp has been the cental theme. Hence you have comedy, drama and many more things seen between the two parties headed by the two veteran actors – Paresh Rawal (Patel) and Rishi Kapoor (Punjabi). So, what you get to see in the film is nothing but the same old story which we have been watching in different B Town movies all together. However, the presentation, the set up and situations created could witness some minor changes but the basic plot remains the same.

Now talking about the performances of the movie, both the veteran actors – Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal have nailed it with their cool performances. The comic timing of Paresh Rawal and sensible character played by Rishi Kapoor of a typical Punjabi man is worth appreciating. The others are simple and not much to express. Vir Das seems still learning the acts and has tried better this time, while his lady love doing the debut again has much to learn. The other elements like music, songs, direction, screenplay and photography are not up to the mark, hence the overall entertainment value doesn’t really impresses us.

Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi The Last Word

There is not much to catch in the film – Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi except two veteran actors sharing their screen presence after two long decades. The other remains the same old story with not much to reveal that brings down the rating of the film.
