Munmun Dutta of TMKOC clarified on the rumors of the arrest, said – ‘went for regular inquiry’
Recently, Munmun Dutta, who played the role of Babita Ji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has reacted to the ongoing news about her arrest. He has given his explanation on every rumor about which the news was going on him. In many reports about Munmun Dutta, it was said that after a YouTube video went viral in the city of Hansi, Haryana, a case was registered against her. After this, she was also arrested. She was accused that she had commented on a particular caste in that video. On which controversy arose. Now Munmun has put her side in front of the media on the truth of this matter. Also told about the incident that she was not arrested.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Munmun said, “Contrary to rumors claiming I was arrested, I want to clarify that I went for a regular interrogation with the police officers. I wasn’t arrested. In fact, I received the interim bail from the court already on Friday before I went in for the interrogation. The officials at Hansi Police Station spoke to me for two and half hours about the case. They were extremely polite and well-behaved. I have been cooperating with the police and will continue to do so.”
The actress also expressed her unhappiness with the type of stories that are being spread about her. She said, “I am deeply upset with the stories being spun around the case, just for headlines. At the same time, I would request media professionals to not create false narratives around the case. The clickbait headlines and thumbnails being used by several portals are deeply disturbing and unethical.”

After the controversy last year, she had apologized to all her fans. “This is in the reference to a video that I posted yesterday wherein one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidating, humiliate or hurt anyone’s feelings. Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misunderstood about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning I immediately took the part down.”
“I have the utmost respect for every single person from every caste, creed or gender and acknowledge their immense contribution to our society or nation. Sincerely would like to apologize to every single person who have been unintentionally hurt by the usage of the word and I sincerely regret for the same,” Munmun’s apology was issued on Twitter.
