Big B and Kangana bags award National awards

The actors Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan and Kalki Koechlin have bagged top honors at the 63rd National Awards. That’s not all; the filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali too were honored on the award night this Tuesday. Bachchan got for his performance in Piku getting the best actor award for the fourth time, while Kangana Ranaut received her best actress award for the sequel –Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The awards were presented by President of India – Mr. Pranab Mukerjee to the actors of B Town and others from our country.

The other awards include Thespian Manoj Kumar who has played the role of Bhagat Singh half a century before was given the award – Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is among the moves coveted honor for Indian Cinema. This is the third award for Kangana who won the honor for best actress for Tanu Weds Manu Returns, while Baahubali was considered to be recognized as the best film, SL Bhansali bagged the best director award for Bajirao Mastani and Salman Khan starrer film – Bajrangi Bhaijaan got the best popular movie. The other film awards include The `best Hindi film’ award came to `Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, and the special jury award went to Kalki Koechlinstarrer Margarita With A Straw.
