1) Vakeel Babu

2) Parde Mein Rehne Do

3) The List

1) Vakeel Babu:

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story:

The movie follows Shiraz Hassan’s journey as a budding attorney who gained notoriety as “Vakeel Babu” after posting internet videos on the legal assistance accessible to women who are victims of domestic violence and other similar situations.

Review: As the story opens, Shiraz Hassan (Abhishek Banerjee) is pursuing success through his digital channel, “Vakeel Babu,” where he discusses how the legal system can help you if you are a victim of domestic violence. Sumit Purohit, who wrote the web series “Scam 1992” and “Inside Edge,” is the film’s director. When a woman approaches him and alleges she has been mistreated by her powerful family, things take a dangerous turn. Will he accept the case or will he turn it down since it would endanger his career?

In its entirety, this 23-minute drama deftly discusses domestic violence and how the legal system often proceeds more slowly than it ought to. With a bit more in-depth consideration and a few more minutes, these topics would have acquired seriousness. Despite this, “Vakeel Babu” is worth viewing because of the actors’ and writers’ honest efforts.

Verdict: In its entirety, this 23-minute drama deftly discusses domestic violence and how the legal system often proceeds more slowly than it ought to. With a bit more in-depth consideration and a few more minutes, these topics would have acquired seriousness. 2) Parde Mein Rehne Do

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story: The gripping movie “Parde Mein Rehne Do” explores the issue of body shaming and how the toxicity that surrounds it affects people’s physical and mental health.

Review: Heena Dsouza’s compelling play “Parde Mein Rehne Do” puts a strong focus on the value of self-worth. The story follows Kuhu (Malishka Mendonsa), a 32-year-old lady who is emotionally exhausted after an unfortunate marriage and lacks the confidence to integrate into a society that is preoccupied with appearances. The story was co-written by Garima Pura Patiyaalvi and Pranjali Dubey. When a friend introduces her to the world of online dating, her life is improved. However, she will experience fresh difficulties and insecurity as she starts a new chapter in her life.

Verdict: It is challenging to get your point through in a 29-minute short film since strong writing is required for viewers to relate right away. On that surface, “Parde Mein Rehne Do” performed brilliantly. The drama emphasizes the value of “loving yourself” and the refusal to alter oneself for the benefit of others. It is authentic and relatable. Because of the engaging script and Malishka’s best performance, this short film is well worth seeing.

3) The List

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story: An urban Indian couple in their early thirties who are sick and bored of their humdrum robotic existence are the subject of the in-depth examination provided by “The List.”

Review :

In “The List,” Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi portray a young couple in all the complexities of their existence. A couple at the center of the story has grown emotionally numb to the point of becoming weary of their uninteresting and unexceptional existence. They both follow the same routines and carry out the same tasks every day. Only when things don’t go as planned do their buried emotions come to the fore. This is nothing new! because it is a believable tale that portrays the bulk of people’s robotic lifestyles nowadays.

Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi depict a young couple in “The List,” capturing all the nuances of their relationship. The story’s central pair has become emotionally numb to the point of growing tired of their mundane and unremarkable lives. Every day, they both perform the same jobs and adhere to the same schedules. They don’t express their suppressed feelings unless something doesn’t go as planned. Not a new thing, this! because it shows the majority of people’s robotic lifestyles nowadays in a believable manner.

Verdict :

The film’s authenticity is what gives it such an immediate impact in such a short period of time. Watch this movie to learn what we truly do and what we shouldn’t, but be cautious about the to-do list you wish to adhere to.

4) Conditions Apply

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story: In order to mend their strained relationship, Nayantara (Shreya Chaudhary) and Rahil (Mrinal Dutt) decide to attend a couples’ retreat therapy program. The story then chronicles their journey. Will this aid in their reconciliation or will they concede that their link is too shattered to mend?

Review : Puja Banerji, a writer, and filmmaker deliver an original and charming story about people who are grieving a heartbreak. Rahil and Nayantara were very much in love before Rahil had to move to Delhi. As with any other couple in a long-distance relationship, they experience difficulties that compromise their trust, love, and enthusiasm for one another. However, in an attempt to improve their relationship, they sign up for a Couples Retreat Therapy session. Will this counseling work, or will they realize that their relationship is too broken to mend?

‘Conditions Apply’ covers numerous stages of one relationship in just 32 minutes, hooking you in the process. Watch it for the gripping narrative and strong acting by Mrinal Dutt and Shreya Chaudhry.

Verdict: Even if making a relationship work is more challenging than dealing with heartbreaks, Shreya Chaudhary and Mrinal Dutt did a great job of demonstrating this. When Rahil ghosted her, Shreya does a particularly good job of capturing the sensitivity of her character as she deals with her sadness on her own.

5)   Amazon Mini Movie Review Festival: Good Morning

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story: A multitasking super mom who seeks perfection at both her home and her job is the center of the story.

Review: Multitasking is a constant for mothers, and it gets increasingly harder for working mothers. The moving motherhood narrative told in “Good Morning,” written and directed by Jyoti Kapur Das, is expertly performed by Neha Dhupia.

Anagha Grover, a working mother, wife, and daughter who cares for her parents and even worries about the smallest details of their health, is the protagonist of the novel. While watching Anagha get ready for her big day and hearing the news in the background, it takes some time for viewers to become emotionally invested in her life and comprehend where the plot is going. It becomes evident as the story goes on that in addition to the demanding chores at home, she also has to do well in demanding work.

Verdict: In general, the story’s flow keeps you interested in Anagha’s life. But for a 15-minute movie, the narrative only succeeds in keeping your interest after a few minutes of the drama. Regardless, it’s entertaining to watch this motherhood-themed feel-good story.
