Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan shared the screen in the 2019 spy action thriller, “War,” directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film garnered widespread acclaim for its action sequences, music, and the captivating charm of Hrithik Roshan. In “War,” Tiger Shroff portrayed Khalid, a RAW agent and a fervent admirer of Major Kabir Dhaliwal, played by Hrithik Roshan. Some viewers interpreted Khalid’s admiration as a romantic interest in Kabir, sparking memes and jokes about the film being a tale of Khalid’s unrequited crush on Kabir.

During an interview on No Filter Neha, Tiger Shroff was asked if he would consider playing Hrithik Roshan’s love interest. In response, Tiger expressed surprise at the feedback he had received regarding his chemistry with Hrithik, particularly referencing a specific scene from “War.” He clarified that the subtext of the scene was his character’s admiration and aspiration to join Kabir’s team, emphasizing that he viewed Kabir as his hero and mentor.

Tiger Shroff also shared that the scene had been perceived differently by some, but he took it as a compliment. Additionally, he discussed his upcoming project, Ali Abbas Zafar’s “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” co-starring Akshay Kumar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, and Sonakshi Sinha, scheduled for release in theaters on April 9, 2024.

On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan is set to reprise his role as Kabir in “War 2,” to be directed by Ayan Mukerji and also featuring RRR actor Jr NTR. The sequel is part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy universe, with Kabir making a cameo in the post-credits scene of “Tiger 3,” hinting at the next formidable threat he will face in the sequel.
