SonyLIV’s new show Tabbar is all set to premiere on the OTT platform. Starring Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak, Gagan Arora, Sahil Mehta, Paramveer Cheema, Nupur Nagpal, Ranvir Shorey, and Kanwaljit Singh the trailer was recently dropped by the makers. The trailer was quite well received by the audience. Tabbar translates into a family in Punjab is a thriller story.
CineTalkers recently had an exclusive chat with actor Pavan Malhotra who shared his experience working in the show.
So the trailer is out and it looks very promising and also it is getting a good response from the audience. How do you feel about it?
Well, I’m extremely happy. Whenever we start working on any new project we are always excited as well as anxious. When the project releases you want the audience to love the project as you gave it so much effort, so yes. As an actor I want more and more people to watch our show.
This show is a thriller, according to you what makes Tabba unique from all other thriller shows?
Every story is different, every character is different. Talking about this show, one of the best things is we got an amazing script as well as an amazing director. Director Ajit Pal Singh did a very good job and the cast is equally great. So I believe, a good script and a good cast 50% battle are already in our favour. For the rest, you have to watch the show. I have done multiple projects in the past and I have done many films from Don to Black Friday but I must say Tabbar is another feather in my career.
How challenging was it for you to play this character in the show?
Well, for me as an actor every role is challenging. God has been very kind to me, that I always get different work. In this profession you are always on your toes and acting teaches us not to relax, you have to constantly think. I always believe in working according to the script and follow my director’s lead.
Since we have always seen you doing different and interesting characters, where in the future where can we get to see you?
The film is ready but due to the pandemic, it is yet to release. Another project I am doing is Unfair And Lovely, Love Hackers. So I’m working on a very different project. Some may come on OTT, some will release in theatres. I don’t know the details yet.
Lastly, what do you want to say to your audience?
I would like to thank the audience for believing in me and I hope people will give a good response to Tabbar
