Release Date Revealed for ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’: Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao Starrer Set to Hit Theatres in May

Get ready for an exciting sports drama as the release date for “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” has finally been announced. Fans are eagerly awaiting the on-screen pairing of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, who previously showcased their chemistry in a horror comedy. The film is set to hit theaters on May 31, giving Rajkummar Rao another reason to celebrate, as he already has another film, “Srikanth: Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne,” releasing in the same month.

Initially, there were several reported release dates for “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” including one announced by Karan Johar, where it was revealed that the makers were aiming for an April release. However, on April 13, the makers took to social media to unveil the final release date.

In “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” Janhvi Kapoor will be venturing into the realm of sports films for the first time, portraying the role of a cricketer. Although most of the film’s details have been kept under wraps, it is known that Janhvi underwent extensive preparation, including a physical transformation, to bring authenticity to her character. She attended workshops and trained in the sport, even sustaining shoulder injuries during the shoot.

Presented by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” is a Dharma Productions film produced by Karan Johar, Zee Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film is now set to release on May 31. Following this, Janhvi Kapoor is expected to dive into completing the political thriller “Ulajh,” which is reportedly aiming for a July release.
