Shantanu Maheshwari and Khushalii Kumar Set to Lead in Psychological Thriller ‘Crossfire’; Filming to Kick Off in October 2024
Khushalii Kumar, known for her role in Starfish, and Shantanu Maheshwari, acclaimed for his standout performance in Gangubai Kathadwadi, are joining forces for a psychological thriller titled Crossfire, under the direction of filmmaker Harish Raut. Both actors were honored with Best Debutant awards at IIFA last year. Promising an enthralling blend of suspense and heartfelt drama, Crossfire guarantees a captivating cinematic experience that will evoke a spectrum of emotions, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
Crossfire delves into the story of Ipsita Dhar (Khushalii) whose life intersects with Bhanu Pratap Singh (Shantanu), recently released from prison. Their encounter sparks a profound connection, with Ipsita playing a pivotal role in Bhanu’s quest for redemption, navigating themes of love, betrayal, and the pursuit of inner peace. Their relationship delves into the complexities of human emotions and the repercussions of one’s choices.
Director Harish Raut, in shaping the narrative of Crossfire, offers a fresh perspective on the crime genre, delving into the depths of human emotions and the intricate bonds that endure even in adversity.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Raut stated, “It’s a psychological thriller with a strong human drama backdrop. With layered characters, I sought young actors who could authentically embody these roles. I am delighted to have found Shantanu and Khushali, and we are eager to commence workshops with the entire cast before filming begins in October.”
Khushalii Kumar expressed her thrill at being part of Crossfire, stating, “I am truly excited to be a part of this film. The storyline is captivating, offering a blend of suspense and emotional depth that will undoubtedly resonate with audiences.”

The film is produced by Praful Parate and Yogesh Tidke under the banner Sandsational Films Pvt Ltd., with Vivek Rangachari serving as the creative producer, Salil Jason Fernandez as the screenplay and dialogue writer, and Zaid Khan as the project designer.
