Sohail Khan’s two elder brothers Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan started their career in films with acting, he ventured into direction at an early age. He directed both his brothers in various films before he himself starred in his own production. Though it was in 2002 when he made his acting debut that he came to be known as the youngest brother of Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan , very few know that Sohail Khan had been in film production and direction since 1996. Considered not so good an actor as his two elder brothers , this Khan brother was influenced by films as he belonged a family that had close ties with the Bollywood biggies. His father Saleem Khan is a celebrated screenwriter of yesteryear. His stepmother Helen was a famous dancer in Bollywood. Today Sohail Khan is known as a multi talented Khan who has directed, produced , acted in and written scripts for many hit films.
Sohail Khan Biography :
Sohail’s penchant for movies began when he was young. After completing his education he decided go ahead with production of the film Auzaar in 1996 in which starred brother Salman Khan and Sanjay Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. Later he directed his brothers Arbaaz and Salman in the film Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya and Hello Brother. Both the films were comedy and were box office successes. In both the films, the camaraderie and chemistry between the two brothers was evident which is most likeable about the film. In 2002, he himself stepped into acting with the film Mene Dil Tujhko Diya. The film starred Sameera Reddy opposite him and was a lukewarm success. Followed by these he produced and directed many commercial entertainers like Fight Club, Mene Pyar Kyu Kiya and Partner. All these films were commercial successes.
His only major role as a leading actor in films produced by other production houses include Krishna Cottage which was produced by Balaji Films. It was a horror flick which was a commercial success at the time. He played the younger brother of Salman in the film Veer which was a periodic film. God Tussi Great Ho and Main aur Mrs Khanna were few others that failed at the box office.
Recently Sohail has been a part of Televison reality shows playing the role of a very jolly and sporty judge. The shows that he judged are Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur, Kahni Comedy Circus Ki and Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe.
In 2014 , Jai Ho released which was about social awareness staring his brother Salman and Daisy Shah. The film did miserably at the box office.In 1998, Sohail tied the nuptial knot with his girlfriend Seema Khan and has two sons. Today Sohail is reckoned as one of the most successful producer in commercial films.
