Shraddha Kapoor’s VFX heavy project ‘Naagin’ put on hold amid Adipurush Controversy
The currently happening ‘Adipurush controversy’ has affected Bollywood finally, and it looks like one of the much-awaited films has been affected. Bollywood is already having a tough time at the box office, so the makers aren’t sure whether they should proceed with the project or not. Well, all of us know that Shraddha Kapoor’s Naagin is a heavy VFX film like Adipurush, which has concerned the makers as the Prabhas starrer was highly criticised for its VFX.
After conducting a thorough discussion, the makers of the Naagin Trilogy have decided to keep the project on hold for now. The film was supposed to start its production process in May this year. However, it did not go on the floor due to the ongoing rough patch in Bollywood. According to reports, Naagin is a high-budget project with tonnes of visual effects, making it a VFX-heavy film.
A report from MidDay states that director Vishal Furia and Vishal have started filming workshops this year, but the project is facing budget issues. A trade source said, “Naagin is a VFX-heavy movie which needs a huge budget.” Makers think that they should save the project and reconsider it later, looking at the dry spell in the market right now. ”
On being asked about the exact time when the project will go on floors, the source stated, “It was supposed to go on floors in May. However, the team thought it would be the best decision to wait. If they decide to proceed with the project, it will be only after Shraddha’s anonymous project with Ranbir Kapoor is released. ”

Shraddha’s Naagin is about a shape-shifting snake, a trilogy which will portray a beautiful love tale. Vishal Furio is directing it, and Nikhil Trivedi is producing the project. The film is a mixture of Indian folk tales accompanied by high visual effects.
