Remo D’Souza REVEALS how he hated being called Kaalia, Kalu in his childhood

Harsh bullying as a result of colour discrimination is a serious problem in India that has traditionally been avoided. Not just ordinary people, but also Bollywood celebs, are subjected to bullying as a result of their dark skin. Remo D’Souza, a well-known choreographer, is one of these celebrities.

Remo, who debuted as a judge and coach in the dance reality show Dance India Dance (DID) alongside choreographer Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapoor, is well-known for being quite active on his social media accounts, chronicling everything that happens in his life.

While Remo D’Souza’s Instagram account with his wife Lizelle D’Souza is mostly filled with amusing images and anecdotes, the choreographer recently shared something extremely emotional, which we’re sure most of the viewers can relate to.

Remo D’Souza recently released a reel on his Instagram account in which he is seen with his wife Lizelle D’Souza. In the video, we see how the dancer-choreographer expresses his feelings for his wife. Remo also mentioned that he used to despise it when people teased or discriminated against him because of his black skin.

Captioning the post, Remo wrote, “I used to hate when ppl called me #kaalia #kalu, but then my mom told me that it’s not the #colour it’s the #heart❤️ that matters ??? and use to sing this #song since then this became my fav song. Now I sing this song to @lizelleremodsouza.”

In the video, Remo D’Souza can be seen dancing with his wife to Mohammed Rafi’s number one song “Hum Kale Hai To Kya Hua Dil Wale Hai.” In 1965, the song was featured in the film Gumnaam. Returning to the reel, we see the pair having a good time while the song plays in the background.
