Content thus, needs to be well amended and innovative in its well being. Books have thus, proved to be one of the best choices for creating all such web series. Right from Leila by Prayaag Akbar to Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra, there have been a number of ace web series that have been inspired from books. Leila
This one was an Indian dystopian drama web television series that was directed by Deepa Mehta, Shanker Raman and Pawan Kumar which revolves around an eponymous novel written by Prayaag Akbar in the year 2017. The series was written by Urmi Juvekar and      stars Huma Quereshi, Siddharth, Rahul Khanna, Sanjay Suri and ArifZakaria.
Sacred Games
Sacred Games is an Indian thriller web series based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel with the same name. Being the first Netflix original series in India, it was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap who also produced it under their banner Phantom Films. The web series holds the iconic faces including- Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin, Pankaj Tripathi, Radhika Apte and Rajshree Deshpande.
Bard of Blood
Bard of Blood is an upcoming Indian spy thriller web series that is based on the 2015 espionage novel with the same name, written by Bilal Siddiqi. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series marks the debut of Emraan Hashmi in the lead role and holds several other stars including- Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar Singh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Amyra Dastur and Sobhita Dhulipala. The series revolves around the story of an ex-RAW agent and will premiere on September 27, 2019, on Netflix.
Selection Day
Selection Day is another Indian Netflix Original Sports web television series, based on Aravind Adiga’s 2016 novel with the same name. Produced by Anil Kapoor and Anand Tucker, it holds a rich star cast of- Mohammad Samad, Yash Dholye, Karanvir Malhotra, Rajesh Tailang, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shiv Pandit, Parul Gulati and Akshay Oberoi. It follows the story of two brothers Radha and Manju who are raised by their cricket-obsessed father and U-turns of their lives as they meet their rival Javed. Two seasons of the web series has been launched on December 28, 2018 and 19 April 2019.
The Final Call
The Final Call is a 2019 Indian web thriller series based on Priya Kumar’s 2015 novel ‘I Will Go with You: The Flight of a Lifetime’. The show has been directed by Vijay Lalwani and centres around the passengers of a flight taking off from Mumbai to Sydney whose lives     are endangered as the captain decides to commit suicide on board.
