Shakuntala Devi Biopic: Vidya Balan Calls it a film more than Mathematics
As the biopic film Shakuntala Devi is gearing for its release on OTT platform, we see Vidya busy promoting it. The film is based on the life of a lady called a Human Computer. A teacher who was known for her extraordinary mathematical skills was a great educator as well. She was known to pass on her knowledge to her students to make her country’s future better and bright. Now many people know about her, but thanks to the biopic film, many would come to know about her a lot.Â
The film is all set to release this month on the popular OTT platform – Amazon Prime Video. While talking about the same, Vidya Balan said that the movie is beyond the subject of mathematics. It also showcases the other aspects of the lady called Human Computer. Her relationship with her daughter played by Dangal girl – Sanya Malhotra is one of the key things to be seen in the film. The film explores the dynamics of mother-daughter relations as well.
The biopic not just talks about the achievements of the lady but how things between her daughter went is also waiting to be explored. As per reports, Anupama Banerjee who is the daughter of the late human computer – Shakuntala Devi also had visited the sets a couple of times, which made her emotional. Anu Menon has directed the film, while it is produced by Sony Pictures in association with Vikram Malhotra. The film also has Sanya Malhotra, Jisshu Sengupta, and Amit Sadh in the leading role. It is ready to stream on July 31 on Amazon Prime Video !
