Rajkummar Rao Shares His Philosophy
Rajkummar Rao had a session at an entrepreneurship conclave in Delhi and he turned it into his own personal Ted Talk. He said that the box office is not an accurate measure of an artiste. What makes him more human and likeable is the fact that he has favorite reviewers and he always waits for their critique to decide how the film actually was. He also owns up to the fact that he has taken up some bad roles in the past. But his credibility lies in how he makes each character his own. By adding some of his own signature moves or dialogues, this versatile actor is making a mark like never before.
He’s memorable and there is proof. More than once, actors have named Rajkummar Rao as the best millennial actor on talk shows like coffee with Karan. This star was noticed, did one small role in Love, nooky Aur Dhoka and blew up instantly. He made it all look so easy. Even A-listers like Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan talk highly of his acting and maybe they’re even intimidated by him.
Rajkummar Rao also shares that his love for movies and acting comes from his family. He lived in a joint family and they had a tradition of watching three-four movies every weekend. As a child, he used to admire actors. He thought they used to come from a different, perfect planet and he always yearned to be behind the screen he was currently looking at. He decided at the young age of 12 that he wanted to be an actor, he even took part in drama in high school and college.
His talk reminded us that a simple boy with a vison and fired with a lot of passion can become famous in the blink of an eye. Kudos to you Mr. Rao.
P.S. We’ve been crushing on you since we saw you in LSD.
