Premature comedy with repetitive storyline hampers the film in a big way
It’s a busy Friday this week as we can find a couple of movies hitting the theatres in India and abroad. One of the movies releasing this Friday is the comedy genre film called BHK Bhalla@Halla.Kom is hitting this Friday. The film is directed by Rakesh Chaturvedi Om, while it is produced by Dhiraj Rokad along with others including Ashok Tripathi and Rakesh Chaturvedi Om. The film has Ujjwal Rana and Inshkia Bedi in the lead characters, while the actors like Seema Pahwa, Brijendra Kala, Benjamin Gilani and Yashpal Sharma in the supporting roles. The film has the story written by Neeraj Badhwar, Rakesh and Satyavrat Mudgal, while it is produced under the banner of 9 Production in association with GM Film Production and RCOM Production. Now, let’s dig into the film to get the crux of the same.
Story/Plot
The story of this film is about a common man who when goes to meet his girlfriend’s father, he has the same old preposition to have a flat of his own in Mumbai city to get qualified for getting married with his daughter. This follows the real madness of getting a flat on his name right from getting a flat on his name on mere papers along with loads of comic things happening to hide the reality behind having a flat in Mumbai in his name. The film is a light hearted situational comedy wherein no one really wants to crack a joke but the surrounding situation makes him or her to make things funny.
Script Analysis
Virtually the film appears to be very much funny and comical; however, as you dig in deep most of the times, the pun and punches posed by the actors and lead actors seemed hollow and too repetitive. The film soon becomes very much predictable, thanks to the same old stale plot found in the film, which makes things bad to worse. The film loses its gleam with these flaws making the film appear too repetitive in nature. Nothing really were seen coming in a proper order making a big mess at the end, which gave one of the most indigestible climax of the same.
Star performances
The lead actors like Ashok Tripathi, Ujjwal Rana, Inshkia Bedi and Rakesh Chaturvedi Om weren’t that par as expected in a comical movies like these. In fact, with their lowly performance, the entertainment value of the film seemed getting hampered a lot. However, with the senior actors like Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa stole the show with their incredible acting performance over the silver screen. They are accomplished actor and comical roles suit them. In other words, these are the very actors who were able to save the stature of the film, and similar is the story with actors like Brijendra Kala and Benjamin Gilani. The two had small screen presence yet they managed to carve their niche hard over the silver screen making a great difference for the film.
Direction, Editing, Screenplay, Music and other elements
The direction though could be called as a decent act; however, it has its own flaws. Thanks to the slow pace of the film which soon hampers the interest of the audience and improper allocation of jokes, puns and light statements, which hampers the film in a big way. The music seems okay though it has nothing much to do to rescue the movie. The elements like screenplay and editing are again pitted with several issues, which mar the entertainment value to a huge extent. The technical elements seemed again below average, which obviously hampers the quality of the film.
BHK Bhalla@Halla.Kom – Last Word
BHK Bhalla@Halla.Kom is essentially a comedy film, which unfortunately is pitted with unwanted humor that hampers the quality of the film in a big way. The lead actors had nothing to deliver, thanks to the supporting actors like Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa who managed to showcase their best of their performances over the silver screen. The direction has a couple of flaws though yet it managed to film in some way or the other. However, with repetitive story of the film, Â BHK Bhalla@Halla.Kom loses it edge in a big way giving the film a low rating.
