From Makdee to Vastu Shastra, These 5 horror movies take us back to our childhood!

Do you recall watching Bollywood horror movies as a kid? Wasn’t it scary a film set in an old mansion with terrific trees and creaky doors? These movies were more entertaining than frightening. However, not all of them were amusing, since some of the movies we saw as children can still give us nightmares.

So, here’s a list of Bollywood scary films that you can’t watch by yourself but enjoy as a youngster.

1) Makdee (2002):
Makdee is a classic scary movie that freaked us out in childhood. The character of Munni, who trying to escape her twin sister from an evil witch. This Vishal Bhardwaj movie scared us the most in childhood and lived in our memories till now.
Shabana Azmi’s terrifying getup was truly scary. The pit that was shown in her old house horrified us, youngsters, to another level.

2) Vaastu Shastra (2004):
Sushmita Sen starrer horror movie Vastu Shastra is one of a kind horror movie. That haunted house and scary tree are unforgettable. Rohan, Sushmita’s son befriends a young boy who is a ghost that lives on a haunted tree outside the house. Rohan is the only one who can see the kid and keeps chatting with him.
In the film, Sushmita Sen plays his mother. The house is later discovered to be haunted by the dead.

3) Krishna Cottage (2004): A group of college students spend the night at a deserted house known as the Krishna Cottage and then threatening events begin to occur.
The cottage is haunted by a spirit that is on the hunt for Sohail Khan, as the spirit was once in love with him. It may sound theatrical, but it was rather frightening; try watching it tonight!

4) Raaz (2002):
There have been other sequels to this movie, but the first was the greatest. The film tells the story of a couple who are haunted by the ghost of a woman. The pair, Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea resided in a large, remote property with a forest nearby. This film may be watched over and over again and will undoubtedly give you goosebumps.

5) Bhool Bhulaiya (2007):
You can use this as a yardstick for success if the major ghost in the film becomes more famous than the movie itself. Even though Manjulika was not the darkest, most wicked role in the picture, the way it was made assured that we were terrified. Akshay Kumar was also fantastic. This Horror Comedy movie surely makes it worthwhile to watch!
