Bollywood Celebrities Go All Praise Of the ISRO’s Chandrayaan 2 launch

Chandrayaan 2It’s not always that the Bollywood gets expressive only with campaigns, celebrity news and gossips but, they have also proved to be expressive with the nation, too. Just within a few minutes of the launch of the highly-anticipated ISRO, Chandrayaan 2 launch mission, several stars from B-town poured their overwhelming expression soaked in excitement and happiness over their social media handles.

With the successful launch of India’s indigenous moon mission, Chandrayaan-2, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Bollywood celebrities simply stormed the social media congratulating such a huge success of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Akshay Kumar, who will soon be portray the role of an ISRO scientist in his next film ‘Mission Mangal,’ couldn’t keep himself from praising the efforts of the ISRO scientists and wrote on his Twitter handle, “ISRO has yet again accomplished a mammoth feat. Salute to the team who have spent countless days ensuring the success of Chandrayaan2.”

Shah Rukh Khan also took onto his own unique way of lauding such an effort with his micro-blogging skills recalling one of the famous tracks of his film, “Chaand Taare todh laoon. Saari duniya par main Chhaoon! To do that requires hours & hours of painstaking work, integrity, belief. Congratulations to the team at ISRO for Chandrayaan2.”

South Indian superstar Prabhas who is soon going to be seen next in ‘Saaho’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor also congratulated the team and called the rocket as ‘Bahubali’ for its magnum opus scale.

Amongst the other things that make this mission unique for space, the most important one is that the agency has been the first to have two women leading this project. Muthayya Vanitha and Ritu Karidhal with their gruelling working hours had contributed immensely to the launch of Chandrayaan 2.

Praising the space efforts made by such wonderful women and applauding their girl power, filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted, “Each one of us is lucky to be alive to witness this historic occasion! Chandrayaan 2 is the first mission by ISRO which is headed by two women – Muthyva Vanitha and Ritu Karidhal. Women are indeed taking over the world… and beyond Girl power. Congratulations team ISRO!”

Raveena Tandon, praising the efforts of the team mentioned, “Our romance with the moon continues! #Chandrayaan2theMoon congratulations ISRO and team ISRO for giving us this historic moment! You go Baahubali! GODSPEED.”

The launch that took place just a week ago was aborted due to some technical snag detected less than an hour before the launch. However, the mission succeeded due to the greatest efforts of our erstwhile scientists.

Chandrayaan-2 will be exploring a region of Moon where no mission has ever set its foot, yet. The spacecraft consists of an orbiter, a lander, and a rover together referred to as “composite body”. The probe’s total mass is 3.8 ton and is expected to land on the Moon’s south polar region on September 6 or 7 this year.

This is going to be the first Indian expedition to attempt a soft landing on the lunar surface. This mission will make India the fourth country after the US, Russia, and China who have carried a soft landing on Moon.

Excited over the launch, Taapsee Pannu shared her feelings as she too is going to be featured in the film ‘Mission Mangal,’ “That’s it! proud moment ISRO, Chandrayaan 2,” she captioned the post alongside a graphical representation of the spacecraft.
