Vicky Kaushal opens up on replacing late Irrfan Khan in Sardar Udham

Sardar Udham starring Vicky Kaushal will releasing on October 16 on Amazon Prime Video. But before Vicky Irrfan Khan was supposed to do the film. His demise is a loss of the entire film fraternity and his void will be still there.

Recently talking to Bollywood Bubble, the Director of the film Shoojit opened up about casting Vicky he said, “I saw a lot of calmness in Vicky that is needed for the character. He had the hunger to explore. In terms of performances also, we needed a certain kind of comfortable scenerio in terms of body language and personality. A person should be very comfortable in doing that. So, in that sense I am quite satisfied and pleased and I hope he (Vicky) is also as pleased as I am.”

When asked Vicky Kaushal if it was too big shoes to fit in (on replacing Irrfan Khan), the actor responded, “I believe those shoes can’t be filled by me or any other actor. Those shoes are completely of different material. It’s not about the size of the shoes, it’s about the quality of those shoes. I have just tried my best in my individual capacity as an actor to portray Sardar Udham as truthfully as I could with the amazing guidance of Shoojit da. It has been a dream for me to be directed by him and this is one character that I have heard while growing up from my parents and grandparents. So, for me it was a beautiful circle getting completed to get this opportunity in the first place. My hunger was to give best to this project and this kind of character, you get in once in a lifetime, so you need to understand the value of the opportunity.”

He added, “I am satisfied with my efforts that I have given to this project. Now, it’s only upto the audience to say that if it resonate with them.”
