Why Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ will never work?

hamari adhuri kahani to fail

Believe it or not, but Emraan Hashmi is more than a man who kisses his love interest in different movies, which has he proved time and again with his incredible performances in filoms like The Dirty Picture, Shanghai, Tum Mile and Zeher. Yet, you can find the tag of serial kisser chasing him a lot. More or less, he is only the silver lining in a dark cloud one can check in the Mohit Suri’s recently released film Hamari Adhuri Kahani. Sadly, HAK is shockingly a hollow film and would fail to work for following reasons:

 Dark Cloud Hovering

HAK is a dark and regressive in nature, which is the basic reason why it will fail in 2015. If you compare it with films like Piku and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the woman at the centre of these films have rocked heling the film collection go high. However, with Ekta Kapoor style films like Hamari Adhuri Kahani wherein Vidya behaves like her own Sasu Maa as directed by Mohit Suri, things will not work for the film’s collection.

Too Much Drama Becomes a Laughing Stock

There are several sequences in the film intended to showcase under the tag of drama, which unfortunately turn out to be a laughing stock for audience. For instance, if you check the scene wherein Vidya is seen blank and silent while walking towards Emraan and literally and figuratively jumps up to touch his feet, that scene can make anyone laugh. Too much of drama wreck all the havoc making even serious scenes to be hilarious. In the age of woman empowerment, considering a husband or boyfriend to be God is ridiculously impossible.

 On the Top Dramatic Dialogues

The idea of real love (Saccha Prem) can not only make you dejected but also frustrated. The over the top and too dramatic dialogues, which time and again coming out can damage your ear drums. The Maang Meri, Sindhoor Tumhare dialogue can really make you feel frustrated and push to find out the writer and screw the person.

 Crying is no Entertainment

People catch the film to get entertained. However, if they start crying while catching up any film and have regrets wasting their money in tickets and popcorn, they end up cursing the filmmakers like Mohit Suri for making such films. However, on the side movies like Dil Dhadakne Do, Piku and Tanu Weds Manu Returns would make you laugh a lot giving the best entertainment value in return. Such movies would perfectly work when it is still vacation and certainly not the one, which pushes you to cry and even pull your hair for too many weird things in it.

 Wrapping up

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a classic example of a good turned bad film. Though you may find the film to be picturesque in terms of cool locations of UAE and other places, yet too much of perfection seems to have wrecked its gleam. HAK is an emotion and heart touching drama with competent actress like Vidya Balan but is she to be blamed for it? Well, certainly not, it’s Mohit Suri who has to be blamed for adding some pointless drama in the film, which adds tears to your plain eyes. Yet if you watch for actors like Vidya Balan, R Rajkumar and even Emraan, you would end up believing in Real Love.
