Vijay Varma, the Gully Boy fame is soon going to take a leap into the digital world with one of the top rated personalities in this world. The actor is soon going to start his first international project in Mira Nair’s, “A Suitable Boy”.
Working with the ace filmmaker, Mira Nair, Vijay will be playing as Rasheed, a student studying at Brahmpur University and also an Arabic teacher in the series. The series is said to be an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s world acclaimed novel. The story of the novel revolves around the story of four families, set in the post independence days.
Talking about his role in the upcoming series, Vijay seems to be pretty much elated as he shared his views with the media saying, “I am elated to be part of Mira Nair project. I’ve been the biggest admirer of her work and cannot wait to make this illustrious story come alive. During the process of screen tests, I read a few parts but it was the character of Rasheed that really attracted me as an actor and me drawn to it. I’m glad that this project came my way and I’m looking forward to working with a stellar team.”
The shooting for this Mira Nair’s series is scheduled to begin by September, this year.
