He has been cited as saying, “My treatment is on, hopefully, I will recover soon and God willing I will return.” The actor also shared that the procedure is “long and tedious” adding that “one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue.”

He likewise shared that he’s not considering his work at present and wishes to revive with a crisp personality. “Fortunately, I am not considering films any longer, simply need to be clear and invigorate myself with a progressively loosened up psyche. This break will be remedial for me,” he has been cited as saying.

The senior actor has been undergoing treatment in New York and has his family for company. On October 1, his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor left for her heavenly abode. Since the actor couldn’t attend her last rites, this led to further speculations about his health. His brother Randhir Kapoor had, however, rubbished the rumors of Rishi battling cancer.

Rishi Kapoor rang in his commemoration festivities three days back with Neetu Kapoor and their dear companions in participation.
