Teaser Unveiled: Witness Vikrant Massey as a Journalist Covering the 2002 ‘Godhra Train Burning Incident’ in The Sabarmati Report
It seems that the B Town busy is making controvertial movies and the uppcoming Vikrant Massey film seems to be the one. After the success of his recent film “12th Fail,” has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming project, “The Sabarmati Report,” centered around the tragic 2002 Godhra train burning case. In the teaser, Vikrant, alongside co-stars Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna, portrays the character of Hindi journalist Samar Kumar, announcing the events of February 27, 2002, when the Godhra train burning occurred. The teaser concludes with a poignant tribute to the innocent lives lost in the incident, emphasizing the importance of “The Sabarmati Report” in shedding light on the events that transpired 22 years ago.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Vikrant Massey paid homage to the victims of the Godhra train burning incident and announced the film’s release date, stating, “Presenting The Sabarmati Report, in cinemas on 3rd May, 2024.”
The film is set to narrate the events surrounding the Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002, near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat. “The Sabarmati Report” promises to provide a compelling and thought-provoking exploration of the tragic incident. Scheduled for release in theaters on May 3, 2024, this film aims to bring significant historical events to the forefront, offering audiences a compelling and immersive cinematic experience.
Vikrant Massey’s recent success with “12th Fail,” a film based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, has garnered acclaim from both industry peers and audiences. Premiering on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar in December 2023, the film received praise from notable figures such as Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Kangana Ranaut, solidifying Vikrant’s position as a versatile and impactful actor in the industry.
