Once Upon A Time in Hollywood Plans to Release on 15 August after Saaho In India

Once Upon A Time in HollywoodSoon after the makers of Saaho have unleashed the release date for the film on 15 August to avert the clash with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s Batla House, here’s another Hollywood entry titled, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood has come up in the series clinching the coveted Independence day holiday release in India. The film was initially known to release on 9 August in the country.

On the other hand, the much awaited Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor’s starrer multilingual action flick will now be released in the theatres on 30 August.

Set in Los Angeles, the story of the film follows a spaghetti western star Rick Dalton (Leonardo Di Caprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). The story line goes around their increasingly difficult in adjusting to the evolving the cinescape at the turn of the decade. His waning career is contrasted by an up-and-coming star Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), who moves next door to that of Dalton.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood weaves around “multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age,” as announced by the official description.

Tate was brutally murdered by the Charles Manson Family in 1969.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood also includes a number of other stars including, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Damian Lewis, Bruce Dern, Dakota Fanning, Scoot McNairy, the late Luke Perry, Lena Dunham, James Marsden and Timothy Olyphant. Tarantino regulars Kurt Russell, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen are active part of the cast. Burt Reynolds was originally known to portray George Spahn, but Dern had to take over the role due to the former’s death in September 2018.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood also had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on 21 May.
