Rohit Shetty’s movies are always filled with drama, dhamal, and top-notch entertainment. In his directing career, the filmmaker has always been successful in crafting colourful and larger-than-life films. His latest film, Circus, is out in theatres, and viewers may be curious about how it is, so here is our Cirkus review.

Cirkus Review

Cirkus Story

Cirkus is a story about two pairs of identical twins (Roy and Joy) who are separated during birth and live their lives in different cities. Things take a drastic turn when both twins cross and this is where the confusion starts, making the whole situation LOL.

Cirkus Review

Well, we all know that Rohit Shetty has a habit of communicating messages through his films, and Cirkus is no exception. The filmmaker hopes to emphasize the significance of humanity via this film. He tries to argue that a person’s upbringing is more significant than their heredity. Rohit added humour to this profound message.

Because it’s Rohit’s movie, I hoped to watch slow-motion scenes, flying vehicles, action sequences, and things all his films have, but they were nowhere to be seen. Because the film is set in the 1960s, Rohit has created an eyebrow raiser film set from that era. Even Gangubai Kathiawadi’s red-light district is a set, but it appears to be authentic.

If we look at the sets utilized in Cirkus, they appear to be off-putting. The VFX of this film is a huge run-down and you will be irritated at times. Furthermore, the climax is excessively melodramatic. I was looking for some dhamaka and some funny moments, but it feels a little overdone and serious.

Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Jadhav and Johnny Lever steal the stage with phrases like ‘Self-Respect’ and others. It is set in the 1960s and is positioned in an enticing environment. Deepika outperforms in the song than Jacqueline and Pooja. Shetty’s directing must be reconsidered to make it like all his masterpieces.

Cirkus Review: Final Verdict

All in all, this Ranveer Singh starrer reinforces the idea of unity irrespective of class, region and all other aspects. It surely has some flaws and lacks logic but can entertain you with its over-the-top drama and laughter. Stars like Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Siddharth Jadhav steal the show, while Deepika Padukone’s short appearance is a huge treat. She effortlessly electrifies the atmosphere with her song, Current Laga Re. For all who are wondering what to watch this weekend, Cirkus is a decent one-time watch.
