Happy Bhaagh Jayegi Trailer – A Quirky Cross border love story

Recently the makers of the film Happy Bhaagh Jayegi released the trailer and on the face of it the trailer simply looks hilarious. Unlike their previous film – Tanu Weds Manu, the expectations from the producers Anand L Rai and Krishika Lulla are seen on its brim hence the pressure to bring another cool movie still persist. Well, as we look at the makers of these films, they happen to be a lover of women empowerment as we saw Tanu dominating the earlier movies. And now we have a woman (Happy) centric movie, which has a devil that may care attitude very similar to earlier film Tanu, but no complains about the same. In fact, one can simply love the trailer and come August and one would simply love to catch the film for sure.

As you have a look at the trailer you would certainly end up falling in love with the comical part portayed the best over the silver screen. And you go through the same, you end up applauding the screen presence of the of Momal Sheikh and besides her, you have Abhay Deol, Diana Pentry, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergil in different roles playing the best ways over the silver screen. And yes don’t forget the seasoned actor Javed Sheikh, which is among the seasoned actor in the neighboring country.  The film is directed and written by a talented man called Mudassar Aziz, which is basically a cross border love story of Happy with Bilal Ahmed played by Diana Pentry and Abhay Deol respectively.

She is seen eloping from her marriage with Bagge (Jimmy Shergil) who turns out to be a poor guy left behind for Guddu (Ali Fazal) but soon ends up at the doorstep of Bilal Ahmed’s doorstep, which is based overseas. Well back to story now, which is basically moves in between Bilal and his fiancé (Sheikh) who finds out the new girl eloping from her marriage and later even tracks down to Bagga who replies in a very hilarious English giving you a certain fits. The trailer is really comical and it continues till when Bilal is seen falling in love with the way of life that Happy leads.

On the other side, Jimmy Shergil while playing the role of Bagga is just like a highlight in the trailer seen only speaking the non-stop English while he dance over his own dialogue (Itne saal politics mein guzaar diye per kabhii ye nahi socha tha kay meri shaadi rukwanay mein padosi mulk ka haath hoga) and song Yara O Yara. Well he says all this dialogue in perfect pun that makes everyone to embark with LOL (laugh a loud).  And yes the most importantly in this trailer you find Momal Sheikh getting her big debut in Bollywood and that too coming under a big brand.

On a serious note, the film seems to have certain reservations though, which are summed up as under:

  • Seeing Happy reaching Pakistan, it is simple and easy to cross the border from Pakistan and vice versa.
  • It is not all mandatory for our mothers to have duppta over their heads while our men to have Shalwar Kamiz at home. They simply like their barmudas too as we all can check out over the homes.
  • And lastly, do we really see the Pakistanis addressing Mahatama Gandhi as Gandhi Ji, well, not really?

Yet the trailer seems interesting to catch it, we are sure you would like and it deserves a better rating that can reach to 3.5 out of 5 for the quirky masti and drama caused due an Indian carefree girl reaches Pakistan and creates all chaos.
