For the film Saand ki Aankh, it was a poor show as far as the box office collection for the film is concerned. There were many reasons why the film faltered at the box office. The basic reason to see the collection in a shabby state was the tough competition it faced by the other two films and secondly it was not promoted in the media the way it deserved. Thirdly, the film happens to be a niche based film, which failed to attract the audience.
Well, let’s check how the film has performed on the box office. The first day had witnessed 50 lakhs on the box office and second day it had 60 lakhs while Sunday was similar as the last two days with the collection reaching to 55 lakhs at the box office. With this the 1st weekend box office collection went to around 1.65 crores at the box office. The weekdays collection would remain the same, as it has failed to attract the audience in a big way.
The film remained in the discussion with the intense controversy about the star cast with Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar the young divas playing characters of ladies in the sixties. The film talks about two sexagenarian sharpshooters called Chandro and Prakashi Tomar who took up their dream to do excel in shooting at the late fifties thus defying the age factor calling it to be just a number.
