Beyond – The Third Kind (2014) – Movie Review

Beyond – The Third Kind 2014 movie review

26th September 2014 had a wide array of subjects to cover in terms of movie releases on this day. One of these includes Beyond-The Third Kind, which is produced by Jasmine Siddiqui Panjwani and Tehsin Ali Panjwani. Jasmine has directed the movie, while the actors in the lead role include Nathasha and Jai Tari. It is a low budget movie, which is counted under the genre of social and thriller drama. The music director of the movie is Salil Shelkar, while it is produced under the banner of Banner: Golden Eye Production.

The plot of Beyond – The Third Kind simply depicts the psychological trauma of the lady boy and the way she finds out way to get out of the situation, however, when he realises about this condition, it really becomes too late for him to bear this unfortunate truth about his life. Amidst his roller coaster journey, he is seen developing a hatred toward his physical body, but soon is seen diverting towards the struggle to find his soul. He then is seen questioning about his decision and thus realises that he has posed up with certain wrong options in his life. Having said that there are a number of realistic aspects and grey characters in the movie, while it also showcases the life of models, sex workers, the bar dancers, the pimps and police.

The movie comes with a strong subject, which revolves around a number of spheres of life and different people responsible in it. The filmmaking team of this movie sounds new but certainly effective in handling this issue with right spirit and vigour, even the performance of the characters played by Natasha and other actors seemed really incredible. The movie, however, is for selective audience, which has interest in such subjects thus falling under the niche category. Thus despite having some good performance and tangible subject, it may fail to attract the audience. The direction was cool, and so were the other elements.

Last word Beyond – The Third Kind

In terms of character performance, script and the story, the movie scores good points, however, in respect to a movie masala element, which often the audience look out in any Bollywood movie, Beyond – The Third Kind lags behind. So, if subjects like these attracts you then there is no point leaving this movie, however, if these topics are not of your interest then catching this film would be a bad idea. The movie really deserves a better rating, which is only due to good character presentation, strong script and good direction, hence 3 rating would be better for it.

Rating – 3.0
