Synopsis: The much popular Turkish drama Fatmagul, which has ended its Indian run on Zindagi channel just last month, but fans have a reason to rejoice as the intense drama is soon to get its Desi adaptation. Titled Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka, it is being produced by 24 Frames and will air on Star Plus.
The serial is an Indian adaptation of the Turkish show Fatmagul. The show tackles about the violation of innocence in a woman. The original show was the story of a young woman Fatmagul, who finds love in the most unexpected manner. It dealt with the turbulence that becomes a constant in Fatmagul’s life after she is gang-raped.
TV actress Pankhuri Awasthy has been roped in to play the lead role of Amla in the show. Pankhuri was last seen as the lead actress in Razia Sultan. In her new show, she will be donning an entirely opposite role. Talking about her role as Amla, Pankhuri shared “Amla is an unconventional character and a huge responsibility because of the way the shows are perceived in the Indian society. The makers have kept in mind the Indian sensibilities while creating the show.” Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka? It also stars Rajveer Singh, Anant Joshi, Rajesh Khattar, Akshay Anand and Kasturi Banerjee in pivotal roles.
