Balwinder Singh Suri is an actor, writer, director and producer. He was born and brought up in Mumbai. He loved acting since his early days, which made him enter into this world. However, before working as an actor, he worked with top filmmakers like David Dhawan and others as assistant director to explore filmmaking and other things. He worked for films like Loafer, Saajan Chale Sasural, and Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye to name a few. While, his debut in acting came with the Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer film Dil To Pagal Hai.
He also did a few other films like Baadal, “Rab ne bana di Jodi” and Pinjar. He then headed to the small screen industry doing a couple of TV shows starting with Sab TV show known as Mr N Mrs Sharma Allahbadwale. Since then it was no looking back for him. He also worked as a creative writer and director as well. Some of the shows he wrote the script and dialogues include Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo and Rk Laxman Ki Duniya. Being a producer, he produced a Punjabi film called Mini Punjab in 2009.
While his debut in direction came with a Bhojpuri movie called Chhodab Na Sang Tohaar, while he also wrote dialogues for the film Dhamaal. Some of his other direction ventures include Beach o Beach. He also wrote scripts for TV Shows like Home Sweet Home, I Love U Two, Ek Se Bhale Do, Ek Se Bhale Do, See no evil 1/ 2 /3, Dil Maange More and Uncle Samjha Karo. Recently, he made news for being roped in the popular Sab TV serial known as Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma as Sodhi. He is married and not dating anyone. He is active on social media.
