Mission Mangal vs Batla House: Box Office Collection Day 4- Rs 100 cr VS Rs 50 cr

Released on 15th August, both Batla House and Mission Mangal turned out to be a true motivator for growing patriotism. However, the viewers did get divided due to the same launch date.

MISSION MANGAL BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 4

The Akshay Kumar starrer film has made a its box office collection of around Rs 27 crore which is brushing hands with the first Sunday collections of Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh.

Mission Mangal, starring Akshay Kumar and a group of top female Bollywood actors including Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen, has received quite a wonderful response during this extended Independence Day weekend. As per the previous estimates, the film is known to have recorded the highest Sunday collections of the year at the domestic box office.

As per the reports received on account of Boxofficeindia on various media platforms, the film has collected approximately Rs 27-27.50 crore net on this Sunday accounts to a total of Rs 97 crore. Mission Mangal did receive a mixed response from the critics. The story of the film revolves around India’s Mars Orbiter Mission that is mainly led by a team of women scientists.

Previously, Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh had collected Rs 27.70 crore on its first Sunday and had remained as a hotcake for the audiences.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film had turned to be the Akshay’s biggest opener with Rs 29 crore collections on the first day. It also remains to be the second highest biggest opener of the year after Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat which opened at Rs 42.30 crore.

BATLA HOUSE BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 4

In the meanwhile, John Abraham’s Batla House also got a good response during this festive weekend. As per sources reports, the film collected around Rs 11.50-12 crore on Sunday. Despite of its clashing entry with Mission Mangal, it has managed to gain a collection of around Rs 47 crore in four days. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film is based on true case events of the popular 2008 Batla House encounter case.

This time it’s truly a competitive case of doubled gains of one film against the other i.e. 100 cr vs. 50 cr. Stay in touch to know the further weekend progression of both these high standard Bollywood entries.
