The Infamous Criminal Cases against Salman Khan

Salman khan hit and run case verdict inside story

Salman Khan has been always the bad boy in the B Town. Right from hitting the journalists to being blunt in his words and action, he has done a number of things that has made him fall behind the bar as well with a criminal case. He has been making headlines for all wrong reason and so far despite his power and stardom he has remained behind the bar for 18 days including the recent two days in the black buck killing case. It would be interesting to catch the number of criminal cases that has been registered against the actor, have a look:

1) Arms Act case, 1998

It was way back in 1998 when the actor was charged for this case under the section 325 and 327 of the Arms Act. As per reports, the actor was alleged to have a 0.22 rifle and a 0.32 revolver, which he had used to kill two blackbucks in Rajasthan based Kankani village near Jodhpur, which occured on 1st and 2nd October. This was done during the film shoot of the movie – Hum Sath Sath Hai along with Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Sonali Bendre. Only Khan was announced with 5 year imprisonment while others were left.

2) Blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases, 1998

The day he was seen charging for allegedly killing two endangered chinkaras along with the two blackbucks on the hunts during a location shoot during the above said movie by Sooraj Barjatiya. Khan along with Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam were alleged to be in the three different cases, which involved the one involving blackbucks, and two involving chinkaras.

3) Hit-and-run case, 2002

This has been the famous one which also pronounced 5 year jail by the lower courts but soon he was made free by the higher court when he appealed for the same. For the hit and run case he was alleged to be caught under eight different sections, which include the Section 304 II of IPC for the Culpable Homicide Charges, the Section 337 of IPC, for endangering life of any person, the Section 338 of IPC for causing serious injuries, the Section 3(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act to drive a motor vehicle at public places without holding any valid driving licenses,  Again the Section 3(1), no driving license found with Salman Khan, the Section 134 of Motor Vehicles Act, which gives certain duties to any driver, which he need to follow under any accident and while injuring any person with his vehicle, the Section 187 of Motor Vehicles Act, driver if he or she drives under drunk state and the Section 185 of Motor Vehicles Act.
