Ashutosh Gowariker’s spills the beans for his Magnum Opus Panipat
We know Ashutosh Gowariker busy in his next Period Drama called Panipat, which is all set to create history claims the director. The venture by the talented filmmaker is a colossal affair and he is taking the film to all new cinematic height. Right from getting the majestic sets, he is all set to hire the best of the technical team and star cast from the B Town. He ensures every small detail is being taken care of the best to get the best of the cinematic experience. As per the director, he has roped in around 110 actors in his star cast, which is a record in itself.
The lead actors of the film include Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt. Besides the three the historical drama has more than a hundred actors in his film called Panipat. As per the director, the actors in the star cast would have a good role to play in the movie. For the casting director, Rohan Mapuskar, it has been a tough time for him to research and take audition to finalise the whopping 110 actors for the film. He took a month-long campaign to screen the actors coming to him, and he calls this to be a mighty one in his career. The casting director talking about the same said the battle of Panipat was fought for a couple of days that involved people more than 125,000 troops, hence getting a huge star cast is important.
For the director Ashutosh Gowariker, the film has been made at the huge scale so that the audience can get a grand cinematic experience. The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat fought in 1761 and it was fought between the Maratha Empire and the King of Afghanistan – Ahmad Shah Abdali forces along with Rohilla Afghans and others. The film is produced under his own banner AGPPL in association with Vision World of Rohit Shelatkar. Sunita Gowariker the wife of Ashutosh is producing the film, while the film is releasing on 6th December 2019.
