Shahid Kapoor to work with his father Pankaj Kapoor in Jersey Remake
Shahid Kapoor is riding high with his previous film Kabir Singh’s success. Now, as we see him gearing up for his next film Jersey remake, we hear that he would work with his father Pankaj Kapoor. The film is a remake of a Telugu movie with the same title having Nani in the lead role. The film is based on a struggling cricketer hence Shahid has started his preparation for his film.
He has hit the cricket ground to get trained in cricket since October.
As per reports, Mrunal Thakur has joined the star cast of the movie. Now, we see the star cast getting a veteran actor from B Town, yes you are right, Pankaj Kapoor the father of Shahid Kapoor. Pankaj would be playing the mentor of Shahid in the sports drama movie. The movie has been driven by loads of emotions and to see the father and son duo for the film would be interesting.
This is not the first time when the two have worked together in any film. They have worked in movies like Mausam and Shaandar. As per reports, the film will hit the floor by December the first week and he will wind up the first shoot schedule till 30th December. The team will have a five-day break for the New Year eve and then they all would resume in Chandigarh in Jan to work for the next schedule for a month. Gowtam Tinnanauri is the director of the remake film. The film will be hitting the theatres on 28th August 2020.
