Yamla Pagla Deewala Phir Se 1st day box office collection

Yamla Pagla Deewala Phir

The B Town this Friday had released two movies, which include Yamla Pagla Deewala Phir Se and the other is Stree. Let’s talk about the film – YPDPS. The film happens to be the third part of the famous franchise called Yamla Pagla Deewana, which carried the same old star cast having – Dharmendra and his two sons – Sunny and Bobby Deol. The film had a decent buzz in the media ever since the makers embarked with the trailer and the songs of the same, however, the kind of response the film was expecting seemed to be down for obvious reasons. First and foremost, if you check at the occupancy reports starting from the morning shows, it secured 10-20 percent.

As the day turned into dusk, the occupancy reports went up to 60 to 70 percent while in the north it was also seen closing to 100 percent particularly in the single screens in Punjab and Haryana and to some extent in Delhi and NCR area as well. As per reports, the 1st day box office collection went to around 5.75 crore, which is still an okay figure as the trade pundits feel that it will help in creating a good word of mouth buzz in the media, which will further aggravate the box office collection at the box office on the first weekend. One can expect the film to collect more than 20 crore .

It wouldn’t be wrong to claim that the film had to face a bit of competition from the other release called Stree starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. After all it was witnessed with some amount of buzz in the media that kept the audience to try that film as well. Also, the previous week releases like Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi and Genuis too posed some amount of competition before this film, while needless to say that Gold, which has already entered into the 100 crore club appears to be a menace for the film as well. Let’s check how things would move but as of now, the picture for the film seems to be rosy.
