Gabbar Is Back 1st Week Box Office Report

Gabbar-Is-Back-1st week box office collection

Akshay Kumar is back with another action packed film – Gabbar Is Back after his recently released film Baby. The movie is an action packed drama backed with some of the best performance of Akki along with a subtle message for the audience. The movie started with a good start in terms of occupancy considering the solo release and the 1st May holiday. Even the weekend went decent with a collection of 40 crores getting a constant escalation all the three days in its first weekend. Also, the film witnessed a healthy Monday as well owing to the partial holiday in certain parts of our country.

Though there were reports of some drop witnessed on the Wednesday and Thursday, it was expected and not alarming as the single screens in particular were seen holding very much good. This has simply resulted into the first week that ended with a good mark of 60 crores. The movie now enters in its second week again having opportunities to do business. Though with Piku the film will face some competition, however, with Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Gabbar is Back is not supposed to worry about.

When you compare Gabbar Is Back with Baby, the former seems moving neck to neck with Baby, which was able to secure 64 crores in its first week; however, with extended week due to Republic Day, the film is able to do better over the box office. Also, the other movie Sabki Bajegi Band is among the non starrer film, which is again not going to hamper the collection of Gabbar. So, the first week box office collection of Gabbar Is Back with 60 crore is really a good figure for the director Krish to celebrate. The experts are expecting to see the film entering into the 100 crore club.
