The safety of Bollywood actor Salman Khan is currently in danger and the state government is taking full responsibility for it. His previous security has been whined up and now he has been given Y+ security by Mumbai Police. The state government recently took this step after the actor received a threatening letter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In June, Salman Khan’s father, and a well-known writer, Salim Khan, was sitting on a bench at Bandra Bandstand after a morning walk when an unidentified person placed a letter there, threatening to kill the actor.

The news agency ANI informed us of this via a tweet recently. Have a look at the tweet here.

The Tiger 3 actor received this threat on May 29, sometime after the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. In the threatening letter, the condition of Salman Khan was also said to be like that Sidhu Moosewala. After this, a case was registered at Bandra Police Station on the complaint of Salim Khan. Later, the police recorded the statements of Salim Khan and Salman Khan.

In August, Salman was also issued a licence to own a gun. The licence was applied for, citing threats from the actor’s side. Police had beefed up the actor’s security after he allegedly received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs. Now it has been changed to Y+.

Not just for Salman Khan. As per the state government’s order, actors like Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher are also getting this security assistance from the police.
